How to enable Microsoft Teams monitoring

Zenoss Cloud uses the Microsoft Graph API to monitor your Microsoft Teams deployment. To enable monitoring, first register a Microsoft 365 application in the Microsoft identity platform.

Verify or grant permissions

  1. In your browser, log in to Azure Portal as a user with administrative privileges.

  2. Open the App Registrations page, and then open the home page for your Microsoft 365 registration.

If you have not already registered an application, refer to Microsoft's documentation for more information.

  3. Open the API Permissions page, and then click Add a permission.

  4. Add required permissions.

Add Microsoft Teams

  1. In a separate browser tab, log in to Zenoss Cloud as a user with the Manager role, and then open the ADMIN > Integrations page.

  2. On the Microsoft Teams card, click ADD.

  3. In the SET UP MICROSOFT TEAMS dialog, configure your Microsoft Teams deployment.

    • In the Microsoft Teams Name field, enter a unique name for your integration.

The name you choose is used as the source name in the dashboard scope builder, which is described in the create a new dashboard procedure.

    • In the Description field, enter text to associate with your Microsoft 365 instance.

    • For the Microsoft Tenant ID, Microsoft Client ID, and Microsoft Teams Object ID fields, refer to the Essentials area on the home page of your Microsoft 365 app registration.

    • For the Client Secret field, refer to the Certificates & secrets page of your Microsoft 365 app registration.

    • In the Tags field, enter one or more terms to associate with your Microsoft 365 instance.

  4. Click SAVE.
