Deprecation notices

This page includes the notices of our intent to deprecate specific features. Deprecated features are no longer in active development and will be retired during a future (as yet unscheduled) update. Until a feature is retired, you can continue using it as you always have.

Info

These deprecation notices describe future updates, which may change as product development plans or customer requirements change. For more information, please contact your Zenoss representative.

Zenoss Cloud

Event Count and Event List tiles

As of 31 January 2023, the Event Count and Event List tiles are deprecated. The Event List + Count tile provides equivalent or superior functionality for all of the use cases previously satisfied by the Event Count and Event List tiles. When you open an existing deprecated tile for configuration, Zenoss Cloud upgrades it in place.

The AVAILABLE TILES dialog no longer includes controls for creating new Event Count or Event List tiles. Existing dashboards that include the tiles are unaffected until you open a tile for configuration.

Collection Zones

The Collection Zone features in the following sections are deprecated as of August 2022.

Collection Zone dashboards

Collection Zone dashboards (and the DASHBOARD tab) are deprecated. (If your Zenoss Cloud environment was created after April 1, 2021, your Collection Zones do not include the DASHBOARD tab.) Until Collection Zone dashboards are retired, you can continue to use existing dashboards and even create new ones.

The Zenoss Cloud dashboards feature provides equivalent or superior functionality and is available now. Please migrate your existing Collection Zone dashboards to Zenoss Cloud dashboards at your earliest convenience.

Collection Zone reports

Collection Zone reports (and the REPORTS tab) are deprecated. Until reports are retired, you can continue to use them as you always have.

The Zenoss Cloud Data Access option provides greater control over what data is included and how reports are created through integration with third-party tools. In addition, you can export your data to create customized integrations or just store the data, either in your Google Cloud project or any other data store.
