Metatype Configuration
Metatype Configuration lets you control which component types are excluded from the service impact model. When a component is excluded, it no longer appears in the Impact view and its events are not considered when determining the availability or performance state of dynamic services. Excluding components that aren't relevant to your services reduces the size of the model and improves performance.
Note
Before excluding components, contact Virtana Support to determine whether your environment can benefit from component removal and to identify the appropriate components to exclude.
The Model Size section at the top of the Metatype Configuration page shows the current size of your infrastructure model and service impact model. Use this information to evaluate whether your model needs to be reduced.
Each configuration item in the Services panel corresponds to an installed ZenPack. Selecting a configuration item displays its components in the Services canvas with the note "Marked components are omitted from the service impact model by default."
